Could there be a list of glossary for various web sites, computer short lingo, etc. Many of us are not as clever on the computer and are new to UMW and UMC, i.e. what is a plenary script and for that matter what is a plenary? describe the dean of UMW, & what does she do?, what is RCL? Thanks,

'I am disappointed in the Social Action group. No postings of information. I am the SA person for the Detroit Conference and this would be a great place to make suggestions.

I'm not seeing any activity on the forums or much else. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the UMWonline isn't helping me much. I was hoping to hear from lots of other women about what they are doing in their units.

@ patdmc - It took days/hours of effort but I was finally able to add the sheet music to our conference program book in Word. It was quite a process trying to figure out how to do it and get the best results. I ended up using the Adobe "snapshot" tool, pasting it into Microsoft Publisher to crop, resize, etc., and then copy and paste them into my Word file. Each song is in its own separate text box so it's easy to reorganize them. I'd be glad to share them with you (and anyone else that wants them). My email is on my profile. I will be attending my conference Mission u July 11-13. I can be reached before & after those dates.
7/9/2013 12:15:29 AM

@ CherylMeadows - I sent en email to the address provided on this site basically asking the same question. This is the response I received, "We appreciate your sharing this concern with us. The following is what Cheryl Trent posted 4 months ago to
There is no formal theme statement. This year, we choose to use the tag line, Learning Together for Transformation of the World so folks will begin to connect this with mission u. The statement itself ties the studies together.
You may want to blog or ask using a forum on (the new community) asking others how they are interpreting the theme to their conferences."

I hope this helps.

If there was a "Like" button for comments I would "Like" every comment made so far because I have literally had all those same questions and frustrations. Sadly, I don't see any answers from the UMWOnline staff.

I have spent countless weeks/days/hours trying to get information to prepare for Mission u and am worn out from lack of resources. Most resources I've used from this site have been low quality. It would be helpful if the files were saved at a higher resolution (esp. sheet music) so our program book pages won't be fuzzy.

One of the things this site has done very well on is the plenary PowerPoints. Bravo!

So, in consideration of the changes we were told we could expect by UMW being autonomous, maybe this is part of the "transformation" process where they're teaching us little birdies to fly on our own and use our creative imaginations - haha. Just a thought :)
7/8/2013 11:46:38 PM

Is there anything in writing that gives us more info on the theme, "Learning Together for the Transformation of the World."

Also, is there anything in writing that explains the leaf & acorn logo for mission u?
Thank you
7/4/2013 1:45:04 PM

Is is possible for you to put the song sheets on the medis site in word? That way I can insert into the plenaries the music. Thank you!
7/2/2013 11:31:39 AM

Can you give me access to the Mission U group as I am going to be serving as Dean and need to be able to pull off plenary information, etc. Thank you
6/22/2013 2:09:28 PM

I have accessed the powerpoint which is on our site. However, the one labeled closing plenary is NOT the closing pleanary. Can someone change it to the correct one? I e-mailed both Denise and Cheryl but they are unavailable for 3 weeks!

I am the dean from region1
in the upper new york conference. In Sept our school will be held in Sept. 2013 at Silver Bay YMCA retreat center.I was instructed to bring my copy of the plenaries for our training in Winchester,VA on June 6. Can't you just send an attachment to me. I am a widow and have grass to mow before I leave for the training. After 7 pm I will probBLY BE BACK IN THE HOUSE. i HAVE TRIED TO FIND IT FROM12 TO 1:13.
6/4/2013 12:03:10 PM

Well, I see I'm not the ONLY one having problems!! When I emailed this morning I was told that there wasn't a record of my logging on to try to locate the plenary scripts. However, I have tried at least twice a day since we got the email from Denise saying they had been posted. I tried this particular site ( ".org" instead of ".net") as suggested in her return email and was told I wasn't a member of the Dean's community! I've been a member for almost two years now! Very frustrating! We have training in less than a week, so not trying to be difficult...can't you send an email with the scripts as an attachment?
5/23/2013 1:17:10 PM

I am trying to get into the Deans Community to download
